Secretary of State Frank LaRose will be our keynote Speaker at our annual Spring Dinner. Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased in advance or at the door. The event will be held in the lower level of the Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan, Ohio on Monday, March the 29th at 5:30PM.

The Hocking County Republican Party held its Fall dinner, October 8. Lt. Governor Jon Husted was the keynote speaker. The Lieutenant Governor spoke on several topics including job growth and an significantly improved business environment in Ohio. He spoke to recent firearms legislation proposed by the Governor sharing with attendees that the legislation would not include Red Flag laws or Universal Background Checks. Husted also shared several issues that Ohioians are largely unified on, one of which is opposition to a single-payer healthcare. In addition to the Lieutenant Governor speaking, area candidates introduced themselves and spoke, two of which are Ohio House of Representatives candidates for the 78 district, Pickaway County Commissioner, Brian Stuart and business owner and Pastor, Bobby Mitchell. Stuart and Mitchell will be contending for the Republican candidacy in the March 17 primary. Ohio Senator Tim Schaffer spoke on the need for commonsense legislation in the Ohio Senate. Jim Robison and Fred Hawk gave an update on the Logan City Council’s efforts to address city issues. County Commissioner Gary Waugh spoke on County projects including sewage systems and the new county jail. Chairwoman Hiles shares her hope of opening the 2020 Republican Headquarters in the summer. She emphasized how each county Republican working together in the 2020 election is vital. The event was well attended. Many thanks to all who came out to support the Party.
The Hocking County Republican Party along with fellow elected officials; Prosecutor, Ben Fickel, City Treasurer, Jen Fickel and Judge, John Wallace supported the 2019 Hocking County Fair Junior Livestock Sale with a its’ purchase of a Grand Champion Goat!
